09/04/2023 - This afternoon WCFD responded for a leaking propane tank in the backyard of a residence in West Chester Borough.
The tank was transported to a safe location and with the assistance of the Chester County Hazmat Team, the WCFD safely flared off its contents.

09/05/2023 - At 9:35 AM the West Chester Borough Fire Department along with West Goshen Township Police Department responded to a vehicle fire in the 800 block of Spruce Ave., West Goshen Township. Tanker 52 made the response.

09/08/2023 - At 6:08 PM on September 8, 2023 the West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Whiteland Fire Company and West Chester Borough Police Department were dispatched to a reported building fire in the 300 block of East Gay Street, West Chester Borough. Crews arrived to find a smoke condition inside with a burning odor. The cause of the incident was found to be an HVAC unit on the roof of the complex. All units cleared at 6:42 PM. Engine 52-1 W/4 arrived as the First Due Engine, Engine 52-2 W/5 arrived as the Fourth Due Engine while Assistant 52 held command. Air 52 also made the response.

09/14/2023 - Early this morning, WCFD’s Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester was dispatched to relocate to West Grove Fire Company, Station 22, while their units operated at a multi-building fire in Oxford borough. Engine 52-1 responded with a crew of 5, and while enroute, the engine was directed into the scene as part of the 4th alarm dispatch. Engine 52-1 arrived on location and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. Crews operated for just over 5 hours before returning to the borough. Later this morning Tanker 52 was dispatched to the scene to assist in water supply operations.

09/16/2023 - At 7:38 PM the department was dispatched to RT. 202 in West Goshen Township for a vehicle fire. Engine 52-1 W/3, Engine 52-2 W/4 and Tanker 52 all made the response.

09/27/2023 - At 7:33 PM this evening, the West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Chester Borough Police Department and the Longwood Fire Company (RIT) were dispatched to a house fire in the 1000 block of Squires Drive, East Bradford Township. Assistant 51 (McClure) arrived, reported smoke from the exterior of the property and assumed command of the incident. Assistant 53 (Scanlon) arrived taking division 2, and Assistant 52 (DiMeo) division 1. Crews located fire inside the property between the first and second floor. After gaining access to the fire, crews quickly extinguished. The department operated at the scene until all units cleared at 9:41 PM. Additional assistance responded from West Bradford Fire Co., Goshen Fire Company along with the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Fire Marshal. West Whiteland Fire Company provided stand-by coverage for the borough during the incident. Engine 52-1 W/5 operated as the First Due Engine. Engine 52-2 W/3 operated as the Fourth Due Engine. Assistant 52, Air 52 and Tanker 52 also made the response.
