05/06/2023 - WCFD’s Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester responded to a vehicle fire this afternoon on South Concord Road in West Goshen Township. Volunteers responded with Engine 52-1 and Tanker 52 which brought the incident under control quickly.

05/14/2023 - Just after 5:00 AM this morning, WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and West Whiteland Fire Company were alerted for a house fire in the 900 block of Pine View Drive, East Bradford Township.The homeowner reported to the 911 center of a fire inside the garage and the family was evacuating. Assistant 51 (McClure) arrived at the scene confirming the police report of the fire being out. Chief 51 (Pelna) arrived taking command, holding the assignment to WCFD units. Crews ventilated the residence before clearing.

05/14/2023 - WCFD’s volunteers from the Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester made this Mother’s Day public service response to assist with a family cat in a tree.

05/16/2023 - Just before 7:00 PM the WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute were dispatched to the 1000 block of General Lafayette Blvd., Birmingham Township for an electrical fire. Chief 51 (Pelna) arrived on-location advising the was an issue with the electrical system at the property and PECO was on-scene. Crews checked the inside and found no fire.As units were on-scene of this incident, the Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester was requested to assist the Malvern Fire Company with a garage fire in Willistown Township. 52 units cleared and returned to station to respond to this incident with Tanker 52 and Air/Light 52. All units returned available from both calls without incident.

05/17/2023 - Last evening just before 11:00 PM, the WCFD was dispatched to East Gay Street and North Matlack Street, West Chester Borough for an auto accident report with fire.Assistant 53 (Scanlon) arrived reporting there was no fire and held the assignment to an engine from Station 52. Crews checked the vehicle and found no hazards then cleared a short time later.

05/30/2023 - WCFD’s Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester responded today to assist on two separate incidents. At approximately 9:30 AM Station 52 was dispatched to relocate to the Kennett Square Fire Company. Shortly after, the volunteers were moved from the cover assignment to assist multiple departments at the scene of the house fire in New Garden Township. At approximately 11:44 AM, Tanker 52 was alerted to assist with a brush fire with exposures in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County.

05/31/2023 - Just after midnight, the WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute responded to the Mary Taylor House, 300 block of North Walnut Street, West Chester Borough for an odor of electrical burning. Crews arrived to find a haze of smoke inside the building and began to investigate. Volunteers located mulch burning outside next to electrical conduit. PECO responded and checked the electric into the property. Crews ventilated the building and cleared at 2:18 AM.
