At approximately 10:20am The West Chester Borough Fire Department along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute was dispatched to the 500 block of East Miner St. for the reported House Fire. Engine 52-2 arrived as the first due engine along with Ladder 53. Crews discovered a small fire that was contained to the 2nd floor bathroom. Units operated on scene for just under 2 hours.
Later on in the day at approximately 1:09PM Station 52 was dispatched to the 300 block of North Walnut St for the AFA. The assignment was upgraded to the Building Fire due to a report of smoke in the elevator room. Engine 52-2 arrived as the first due engine and stretched an 1 3/4” attack line. Crews located the source in the elevator room. All units returned available after ventilating the building.

On January 7th Engine 52-2(FF A. Smiley) operated as the First Due Engine in the 100 block of East Gay Street. 52-2's crew stretched a precautionary attack line and assisted Ladder 53 with locating the source of the smoke. Crews determined it to be an HVAC issue and returned available.
