In August the company ran 57 Calls for service. Crews continued to train and stay busy.

On 8/4/20 Engine 52-2(FF A. Smiley) started out the day with a gas leak inside in the 53 local. Later in the day Engine 52-2 and Assistant 52 along with Fame Fire Co. No. 3 and Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute responded to a Residential Rescue in the 100 Block of South High Street. Units arrived to find a tree that had fallen into a building. Shortly after clearing the residential rescue Engine 52-2, Engine 52-1(FF T. Crum) and Assistant 52 responded to a pole fire. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2 handled a CO alarm in the 100 block of Windridge drive later in the day and after getting fuel Engine 52-1 responded to an AFA and cleared a short time after arriving.

On 8/6/20 at approximately 7:20 PM The West Chester Borough Fire Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of S Concord Road. 53 units arrived and found a small fire in the wall of the basement. Engine 52-2(Capt P. Widmayer) arrived as the second due engine and assisted first in crews. Engine 52-1(FF J. Haas), Air 52(FF C. Brogan), Assistant 52 and Chief 52 all made the response.

On 8/7/20 at approximately 8:14 PM Air 52 was dispatched to assist Delco 64 at their 2nd alarm house fire. Air 52(FF L. Pierson) responded at dispatch with a crew of 3. Air 52 arrived and filled cylinders and cleared a short time after.

On 8/8/20 at approximately 1:33 PM Station 52 was dispatched to assist Goshen Fire Company at the working building fire. Engine 52-2(FF L. Pierson) responded at dispatch with 5 and arrived as the second due engine. 52-2’s crew split their crew and stretched a secondary hand line. Crews assisted with fire attack, overhaul and ventilation. Air 52(FF C. Simpkins) and Assistant 52 also made the response.

On 8/20/20 at approximately 6PM Engine 52-2(FF L. Pierson) was returning from an AFA when they were alerted to relocate West Whiteland Fire Company as they operated at a Hazmat incident in their first due. While en route Engine 52-2 was redirected by Chester County Fireboard to the scene. Engine 52-2 arrived and assisted crews with Fire attack and hazard mitigation. Engine 52-2 operated for approximately 1 hour before returning to service.
