On Wednesday around midday Station 52 was dispatched to the intersection of Old Fern Hill Rd and Phoenixville Pike for the reported Van on fire. Engine 52-1 (FF L. Pierson), Assistant and Chief 52 responded shortly after dispatch. Assistant 52 arrived to find an Engine Compartment of a van well off. Engine 52-1 arrived shortly after placing the 1 3/4" Bumper line in service and quickly extinguished the fire. Tanker 52 (FF C. Simpkins) arrived and supplied Engine 52-1 with a water source if they needed it. Crews operated for a short time before returning available.
