On Thursday, at approximately 01:44 in the morning the West Chester Fire Department was alerted for a house fire in the 1100 block of Grove Road. Shortly after dispatch Engine 51-2 (First West Chester Fire Co.) followed by Engine 52-2 (Capt. Dimeo) went en route. While responding they where given the report of "a room on fire and the caller can see flames." Engine 51-2 arrived to find smoke showing from division 2 and upgraded to the Working Fire. Engine 52-2 arrived shortly after and assisted Engine 51-2's crew with fire attack. The fire was quickly knocked down and put under control shortly after. Units operated on scene for a few hours and went available.
