Quick Knock On Basement Fire While Members Are Out Teambuilding

On Sunday at 1255 hours, while members were on the way to play paintball for team building, the Good Will was dispatched along with the Fame Fire Co. (St. 53) and Good Fellowship Ambulance (St. 55) for a report of smoke coming from a basement. Police quickly arrived onscene and confirmed the report with heavy smoke coming from the rear. Chief 51 arrived onscene with smoke showing from a 3 story, middle of the group row home and asked for the county to dispatch the First West Chester (St. 51) as well. Engine 52-2 arrived along with Ladder 53 and began stretching a line and while the truck crew searched the building. FF Greer located a small fire under the basement steps and quickly extinguished it. The crews returned from the paintball game to staff the additional engine and air truck and assisted with laying a second supply line, overhaul and clean up. All units cleared at 1427 hours and returned back to their team building.
