By Junior Firefighter Francis Smiley Jr.
March 27, 2013
At 03:33 hours on Wednesday, March 27, Stations 54 and 56 were alerted to the 200 block of Line Road for the automatic fire alarm activation. Upon the response of the Goshen units they were advised that the police department was on scene reporting a working fire with possible entrapment. The assignment was then upgraded to a working fire adding Air 52 to the box. Minutes after Air 52 was dispatched the tanker was added due to lack of water supply options. The Air truck responded and filled cylinders while the crew assisted with fire supression. The tanker then arrived dumping a load of water to support Engine 54-1 with attacking the fire. The fire was placed under control by command at 04:34 and all units were available by 08:00. The report of entrapment turned out to be negative. Thanks to Malvern Fire Company for the photos.
