November 18, 2011
At 8:30 on Friday, November 18, Stations 39 (West Bradford) and 46 (Minquas of Downingtown) were dispatched to 1614 Creagh Knoll Lane in West Bradford for the house fire. Initial reports stated a chimney fire had spread to the roof and that their may be entrapment. The assignment was upgraded to a working fire bringing Tower 45 (Alert of Downingtown) and Station 47 (Lionville) for RIT. Chief 39 arrived and upgraded the assignment and then requested the 2nd alarm assignment be added as well. The 2nd alarm assignment added Air 52 which quickly responded with 4 firefighters led by Captain Stafford. Air 52 arrived and Captain Stafford and Firefighter Jimenez went to the manpower pool at the front of the fire building while Jr. Firefighter Smiley and Chauffer Davis stayed at the Air Truck and filled air cylinders for other firefighters. Captain Stafford and Firefighter Jimenez then assisted in opening the walls of the interior of the structure to find any hidden fire. Air 52 cleared the fire ground around 1 AM on Saturday morning.
