02/02/2026 - West Chester University of PA South Campus — West Chester Borough Fire Department Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and West Whiteland Fire Company were dispatched to a reported apartment fire. Upon arrival, crews found a small fire that had already been extinguished. Firefighters checked the apartment for additional hazards and ventilated smoke from the building.WCFD was assisted by the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Fire Marshal’s Office and West Chester University Police Department. No injuries reported. All units cleared the scene at 12:26 AM.

02/08/2026 - Early Sunday morning, West Chester Borough Fire Department (First West Chester Fire Co., Engine Co. 51) and Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute assisted the West Whiteland Fire Company with a residential house fire in the 700 block of Southern Drive, West Whiteland Township. Crews worked together to bring the incident under control and ensure scene safety under extreme cold weather conditions.

02/09/2026 - West Goshen Township – West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Whiteland Fire Company, and Goshen Fire Company were dispatched to the VFW in the 800 block of Lincoln Ave. for a reported building fire. Upon arrival, crews located an electrical fire involving an outlet inside the building. The outlet was secured and disabled, and no additional hazards were found. There were no injuries reported. All units cleared the scene at 12:51 PM. West Goshen Township Police Department also assisted at the scene. We thank our mutual aid partners for their assistance.

02/10/2026 - Just before 1:00 AM, the West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 700 block of Owen Road, West Goshen Township, for a reported house fire. Chief 53 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the residence. Crews made entry and located fire conditions inside the home. The fire was extinguished, and overhaul was completed with no further hazards found. No injuries were reported. WCFD was assisted by the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Fire Marshal’s Office, West Goshen Township Police Department, and PECO. All units cleared the scene at 3:35 AM. Great work by all personnel operating on scene during the cold overnight conditions.

02/17/2026 - East Bradford Township, PA — Just before 4:00 PM the West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Muirfield Drive for a reported house fire.
Chief Officers arrived on scene and located fire in a second-floor bedroom. Crews advanced a hose line to the fire area and quickly extinguished the flames while additional members conducted a primary search to ensure all occupants were out of the home. Firefighters completed overhaul operations, checking for hidden fire and additional hazards, and none were found. No injuries were reported. All units cleared the scene at 5:14 PM. WCFD was assisted on scene by the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Fire Marshal’s Office and West Chester Police.

02/18/2026 - West Chester Borough Fire Department Ladder 53 and Air 52 assisted Longwood Fire Company at a house fire in East Marlborough Township.

02/28/2026 - West Goshen Township — Just before 2:00 PM, the West Chester Borough Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Hazardous Materials Team and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection with an unknown substance leaking from a property in the area of Henderson High School. The leak has been secured and no additional hazards were identified. At no time was there a threat to the surrounding community. The DEP is working with the facility on cleanup. The DEP will release more information as it becomes available
