07/01/2024 - At 7:12 AM the West Chester Borough Fire Department along with mutual aid departments were dispatched to the 100 block of North High Street, West Chester Borough for smoke in the basement. Crews located the source to be a problem with a pump in a basement utility room. The hazard was secured and ventilation was completed. No injuries reported during the incident and all units cleared at 8:54 AM.

07/17/2024 - On June 24th, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester and West Chester Borough Police Department were dispatched to a residence for a patient in cardiac arrest. A neighbor witnessed the patient collapse in the front yard of his home, called 911, and began providing hands-only CPR. These critical actions provided enough time for first responders to arrive at the patient's side and preform advanced cardiac life support consisting of defibration, intravenous medication administration, and advanced airway management.
Through the efforts of this patient's neighbor, Chester County Department of Emergency Services 911 telecommunicators, and the first responders on scene, this patient regained a pulse and respiratory drive approximately 10 minutes after his heart stopped. After a short hospital stay, this patient made a full recovery with no neurological deficits.
James came by the station today, just 23 days after his cardiac arrest, to personally thank some of the firefighters and EMS providers for their part in saving his life. It is stories like this that provide the ultimate perspective that what we do as first responders truly matters. Every link in the American Heart Association's chain of survival was in place, and performed expertly, ultimately saving this patient's life.

07/18/2024 - West Chester Borough Fire Department currently assisting the Goshen Fire Company with a building fire in the 1000 block of Airport Road, West Goshen Township. Engine 52-1 is operating as the Second Due Engine at this 2nd alarm building Fire. Air 52 and Utility 52 also made the response.

07/23/2024 - At 10:45 AM this morning Air/Light 52 was dispatched to assist Station 2 (Berwyn) with a house fire in the 400 block of Leopard Road, Easttown Township. Air 52 made the response earlier today. Engine 52-1 handled a fire alarm in the first due while Air 52 was on scene.
