07/04/2023 - At 9:42 PM, WCFD’s Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester responded to a dumpster fire across the street from their station in the 500 block of East Union Street, West Chester Borough.

07/12/2023 - The West Chester Borough Fire Department responded to an auto accident reported with fire this afternoon at the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Burke Road, West Goshen Township. Upon arrival it was found that there was no fire involved and crews assisted EMS with patient assessment and hazard control.

07/26/2023 - Update: 11:15 AM - All emergency service units are clearing the scene. The source of the incident was located and the incident has been turned over to management and a environmental service agency. Most of those evacuated will be returning home, those who can not will be relocated to different apartments for the time being. Update: 10:00 AM - Crews continue to investigate the source of the incident. Those who have been evacuated are safe in a air conditioned site. The West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and Chester County DES are operating at a possible hazardous materials incident at the Sharpless Works Apartments. Please remain away from the area. Precautionary evacuations are being completed of the building where the incident is taking place. There is no further threat to the public. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2, Air 52 and Utility 52 made the response.
