On April 9th the Good Will Fire Co was dispatched to the area of Rt 202 and Westtown Rd for a reported vehicle fire. Upon Asst 53's arrival it was determined to be a brush fire along the exit ramp from Rt 202 and Station 51 was dispatched for Brush 51. Two Engines from the Good Will responded and were able to contain the fire to the hillside and with the help of the Brush unit extinguish the remaining hotspots in a matter of moments.

Dry and windy conditions are believed to be a factor in the rapid growth of the fire. Crews repairing guiderails at the intersection are believed to have started the fire with sparks from a cut-off saw.

No civilian or firefighter injures were reported and crews were in service for less than an hour.
