The Passing of Past Chief Ray Street

Good Will firefighter Raymond F. Street, Sr., 86, of West Chester, died surrounded by his family on May 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara E. McClain Street on August 1, 2021.

Raymond “Streetsie” was a lifetime member of Good Will Fire Co. He served in many different positions including Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, and Treasurer. He was the longest member (53 years) of the Fire and Ambulance Bowling League of Chester County.

Raymond leaves behind his six children: Deborah Fox (the late Leo), Raymond F. Street, Jr., Patricia Hackett (David), Daniel J. Street, Sharon Grove (Carlton), and Glenn Street; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Street.

Ray loved to travel, be on his tractor, go for long rides, watching his western shows, and meeting with the neighbors to solve the world’s problems.

A casual visitation and service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10-11:30 am at Union Hill Cemetery, 424 N. Union St. Kennett Square, PA 19348 (intersection of Rte. 1 and Rte. 82). A luncheon reception will follow at Good Will Fire Co., 552 E. Union St., West Chester, PA 19382.
