In November Station 52 responded to 50 Calls for Service On 11/2/21 Station 52 was alerted for Air 52 to assist Delco Station 68(Marcus Hook Fire Co.) on a Working Commercial Fire. Air 52(Lt L. Pierson) responded at dispatch with a crew of 3. Air 52 operated on scene for several hours before being cleared by command. On 11/8/21 WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and Longwood Fire Company were alerted to assist Station 39(West Bradford Fire Co.) with a barn/outbuilding in the 100 block of Lucky Hill Road, East Bradford Township. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2, Tanker 52 and Air 52 all made the response. Tanker 52 operated on scene for a short amount of time while the rest of the 52 units cleared shortly after arriving. On 11/14/21 At approximately 5:00 PM, the WCFD and Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute were dispatched for a chimney fire in the 700 block of Brettingham Court, East Bradford Township.The incident was quickly upgraded to a house fire alerting Goshen Fire Company, West Whiteland Fire Company and West Bradford Fire Co. to assist. Fire was found extending to the roof and second floor of the property along with minor damage to an adjacent home. All fire apparatus cleared by approximately 7:00 PM. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2, Air 52 all made the response. Engine 52-1 operated as the 2nd due Engine. On 11/15/21 Station 52 traveled to the West Chester Fire Department Training Center. Crews worked on outward and inward swinging doors. On 11/19/21 WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute responded early this morning to a reported building fire at the Metropolitan Apartments, 300 East Marshall Street, West Chester Borough. Originally dispatched as a fire alarm, the incident was upgraded to a building fire after a call was received reporting smoke on the third floor. Crews located burnt food in an apartment on the third floor of the property. On 11/22/21 Station 52 was alerted to assist Stations 54/56 on a reported building fire. Engine 52-1(Lt L. Pierson), Engine 52-2(Capt P. Widmayer) quickly made the response. Engine 52-1 arrived as the First Due Engine behind Ladder 56. Engine 52-1 assisted ladder 56 with stretching an initial handline and forcing entry. Crews found fire in a 1 story trailer and quicly extinguished the fire. Air 52(FF S. Crum) and Assistant 52 also made the response. On 11/24/21 Station 52 was alerted for an Engine to cover Station 25(Longwood Fire Co.) while they operated at a First Due Working House Fire. Engine 52-2(FF M. Pearce) made the response and was on station for several hours before being cleared by Chief 25. |
