In October Station 52 responded to 34 Calls for Service

On 10/2/21 Air 52 travelled to Lionville Fire Company 110th anniversary parade & housing as well as Trinity Assembly of God’s 50th anniversary.

On 10/5/21 Station 52 was alerted to assist Delco Station 59(Concordville Fire & Protective Association) on a reported House Fire. Engine 52-2 arrived as the First Due Engine and stretched an 1 3/4" handline. Crews investigated a burning odor inside and the incident was quickly placed under control.

On 10/13/21 The WCFD travelled to WCU Sykes student union for a Civic Engagement Career Fair.


On 10/15/21 The WCFD participated in the West Goshen Township Police Department’s Trunk or Treat event with other agencies.

On 10/17/21 At approximately 12:45 AM, WCFD responded to assist Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute with an auto accident with entrapment on Greenhill Road in West Goshen Township. Engine 52-2 arrived and assisted Rescue 53 with extricating the victim out of the vehicle upon there arrival.

Later in the day Engine 52-2 attended Christ Community Church fall festival block party. Engine 52-2 was on display, crews discussed fire prevention and brought out the booster line for kids to use.

On 10/22/21 The WCFD was alerted to the Denny Reyburn Senior Apartments for a smoke condition in the garage area of the building. Crews arrived on location and located the source of the smoke in a generator room. The problem was secured by responders and all units cleared shortly.

On 10/25/21 The WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and West Chester University Police Department were dispatched for an odor investigation inside. Under the command of Assistant 51, crews checked the building and found no hazards. Two people were checked by EMS and released.

Later on in the Day The WCFD was alerted for the Odor investigation inside in the 200 Block of East Gay St. Crews arrived and did a complete search of the property finding no odor or hazard.

On 10/27/21 The WCFD participated in West Chester Parks and Recreation Trunk or Treat event.

On 10/31/21 The WCFD was dispatched to the 900 block of North Penn Drive for reported House Fire. Engine 52-1(FF A. Smiley) arrived as the First Due Engine, Engine 52-2 (Capt P. Widmayer) arrived as the Second Due Engine. Crews investigated and no hazard was found.
