On 8/4/21 Air 52 along with the WCFD traveled to Henderson High School to attend a National Night Out Against Crime Event. Volunteers displayed equipment and did a vehicle rescue for our residents to view.

On 8/8/21 Air 52 along with the WCFD traveled to the Government Service Center to attend Touch a Truck day.

On 8/15/21 Members from Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester joined Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute who hosted a critical care class. Members set up a landing zone for PennSTAR at Henderson High School.

At approximately 1:39 PM Station 52 was dispatched to the 400 block of East Marshall St. for the Fire Alarm. Engine 52-2 and Assistant 52 arrived with nothing showing. Interior crews found a smoke condition in the building and the assignment was upgraded. The source of the smoke was found in a first floor elevator room. The department went into service with ventilation and the incident was turned over to maintenance.

Later in the day Station 52 was alerted to the 1000 block of North New St. for the outside electrical fire. While enroute Engine 51-2 was given the notes that the electrical box on the outside of the house was on fire and the assignment was upgraded. Engine 52-2(FF D. Jones) arrived as the 2nd due engine and completed Engine 51-2's Split Lay. Engine 52-2's crew opened up the wall to find a small fire that was quickly extinguished. Crews were on scene for just over an hour.

On 8/16/21 Station 52 traveled to the West Chester Fire Department Training Center to conduct car fire evolutions.

On 8/17/21 WCFD along with West Chester Borough Police Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and Goshen Fire Company were dispatched to the Chestnut Square Apartments, 201 East Gay Street, West Chester Borough for a report of an apartment fire. Crews arrived on location to find a light smoke condition in the apartment due to an oven fire. The assignment was held to West Chester units.

On 8/20/21 Station 52 was alerted to assist Station 25(Longwood Fire Co.) on a Working House Fire. Engine 52-2(FF R. Lewis) arrived as the 4th Due Engine and took the 3rd due Engine Assignment. Engine 52-2's secured a hydrant while the crew assisted with fire attack and overhaul on the 1st Floor.

On 8/22/21 The WCFD was alerted to WCU Reynolds hall for smoke in the building. Engine 52-2(D. Jones) arrived as the First Due Engine and stretched an 1 3/4" handline. The incident was quickly placed under control.

On 8/25/21 The WCFD was alerted to the 200 block of East Rosedale for the Building Fire. Crews quickly located the source of smoke and the incident was downgraded to West Chester Units. Crews ventilated the light smoke throughout the property and cleared.

On 8/26/21 The WCFD was alerted to the 100 Block of Westtown Road for the Building Fire. Crews located the source on the smoke to be an HVAC unit on the roof and the incident was quickly placed under control.

On 8/28/21 Roughly 20 members of the department traveled to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus to participate in the “Day in the Life” program hosted by the Department of Emergency Services. Simulated emergency scenarios were set- up and our responders were able to practice the WCFD response plan to mitigate the hazards. Thanks to Newtown Square Fire Company, East Whiteland Fire Company and Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company for standing by in the borough.
