Station 52 responded to 33 Calls for service in April.

On 4/1/21 Station 52 responded to a dumpster fire in the 300 block of Westtown Road, West Goshen Township. Engine 52-1(Capt P. Widmayer) stretched the bumper line and extinguished the fire.

On 4/3/21 The WCFD volunteers attended the West Chester Parks and Recreation Easter drive thru Egg Scramble at Borough Hall. Station 52 had the pleasure of escorting the Easter Bunny to this year’s event.

On 4/5/21 Station 52 was dispatched to assist Station 4 (Malvern Fire Co.) at a Working House Fire. Engine 52-2(Lt C. Simpkins) responded shortly after dispatch with a crew of 5. Engine 52-2 arrived and assisted with Vertical ventilation and Overhaul. Air 52(Capt P. Widmayer) also made the response and filled cylinders.

On 4/9/21 Engine 52-1(FF A. Smiley) assisted Kelly Fields on Westtown Road. Engine 52-1 helped rehang sunshades on the fields.

On 4/19/21 Station 52 conducted a Live Burn drill at The West Chester Fire Department Training Center. Crews went over the new WCFD SOG's.

On 4/22/21 The WCFD gathered at The West Chester Fire Training Center and conducted a Live Burn Training on the Departments new SOG's. Thank you to Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute for attending and providing Rehab for our crews, to West Chester Mayor Jordan Norley for attending to see the department training and the members of the West Whiteland Fire Company for assisting with stoking the fires this evening in the burn building.
