Station 52 handled 52 calls for service in March.

On March 1st Newly placed in service Engine 52-1 handled its first call in the 52 local.

On March 2nd Station 52 was dispatched to multiple calls in the West Chester local due to a power outage.

On March 14th Station 52 was dispatched to an AFA, 2 Brush Fires, a Working Barn fire, a Relocate and a Working Outbuilding Fire. Crews stayed busy throughout the day.

On March 16th Station 52 took a tour of the County. 52’s Volunteers have travelled to Longwood, Phoenixville and Goshen to handle stand-by assignments while these departments were handling incidents.

On March 22nd Engine 52-1 operated as the FDE and Engine 52-2 as the SDE at a residential fire in the 200 block of Magnolia Street in the Borough. The fire, located on the exterior of the property was extinguished quickly without extending into the interior of the home.

On March 26th Station 52 responded for a reported dumpster fire in the 700 block of East Marshall Street. Engine 52-1 and Assistant 52 arrived to find trash next to a dumpster on fire in the parking lot. The Fire was extinguished without incident.

On March 27th Saturday morning the department gathered at the West Goshen Shopping Center for training. Volunteers of the WCFD conducted apparatus familiarization and hose drills.

On March 28th Stations 52 and 53 were alerted to assist 55 EMS with a auto accident with entrapment in the area of Garfield Ave. and Paoli Pike, West Goshen Township. Arriving units found 1 person trapped. Engine 52-1 arrived and pulled the bumper line and made access for Rescue 53 to extricate the patient.
