Working House Fire in the 53 local

Tuesday morning just before 06:00 AM, the West Chester Fire Department (Stations 51, 52, 53) and Good Fellowship Ambulance (Station 55) were dispatched to the 1100 block of Old Wilmington Pike for the House Fire. Assistant 52 and Assistant 51 went responding and were given the report of a passerby reporting a house on fire. Shortly after dispatch Engine 52-2 (Capt P. Widmayer), Engine 51-2 and Ladder 53 went responding. Assistant 52 arrived to find the 1st floor of a 2 story single family well off. Engine 51-2 arrived and split layed down the driveway. Engine 52-2 arrived reverse laying from the driveway to the hydrant. The crew of Engine 52-2 pulled a secondary 1 3/4" crosslay and assisted advancing the primary handline. Engine 52-1 (FF J. Haas), Air 52 (FF D. Jones), Tanker 52 (FF M. Cotter) all made the response. Crews from 52 assisted with Fire attack, overhaul, ventilation, and water supply. Air 52 operated filling cylinders while crews were packing supply hose. Tanker 52 assisted with water supply after the incident was placed under control. Crews operated on scene for a few hours before clearing.
