52 Crews assist DELCO with a house fire.

Fire Companies were dispatched to a reported residential house fire on Saddle Run, Edgmont Twp. Ladder 41 arrived on scene with a 2-story Single Family Dwelling (SFD) with smoke evident from the chimney. Crews entered the building and found an active fire behind a gas fireplace on the 1st floor. A 2nd Alarm was struck by Command.The Station 52 crew was dispatched for an Engine to relocate to Delco 41. While enroute the crew was dispatched to a fire alarm along West Chester Pk, which brought them directly passed the scene. Upon approaching the area of the fire, command redirected the Engine into the scene. The temperature was around 100 degrees at the time. The crew walked to the front of the building where they were given orders to pull an attack line after the master streams had been shut down. The crew from Engine 52-1 knocked down some fire in an attack space and a back bedroom. The crews rested for a few minutes and were released from the scene due to another dispatched fire in the West Chester local. The Engine crew was clearing as the Air Truck was arrining to provide assistance in Delco.
