At 2048 hours on Sunday, May 28, Stations 52 and 53 were dispatched to the 500 block of Fox Meadow Lane, in the Fox Meadows Development, for a large unknown type fire in the area. Engine 52-2 (Capt. DiMeo) quickly responded with 4, followed by Engine 53 and Tanker 52. While units were enroute, Chester County Communications advised of a reported house on fire in the area of Woodhaven Road and South Concord Road. Engine 53 arrived in the 1300 block of South Concord Road, split laying on the way in, and reported heavy fire showing from an attached garage. Engine 52-2 arrived as the second due engine company, and began laying a supply line to the closest hydrant, 3500 feet away. Tanker 52 picked up Engine 53's supply line while other engine companies worked towards the hydrant. Shortly after arrival command requested the second alarm assignment, bringing Goshen and Concordville Fire Companies to the scene. The fire was placed under control in approximately one hour, as majority of the fire was held to the garage area due to an aggressive interior attack. All units cleared the scene approximately three hours after Engine 53 arrived. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2, Air 52, Tanker 52, Assistant 52, and Chief 52 all made the response.
