From 1030 until 1600 on Sunday, October 8, Engine 52-1 (FF T. Crum) was staged on North High Street between East Gay and East Chestnut Streets to provide a quick response for any emergencies during the annual West Chester Chili Cook-Off. The Engine handled three calls while available on the air, none of which proved to be a major emergency. A great crowd was present for the event and a good time was had by all. The Company responded for five calls throughout the day.
