On Sunday, April 2, members of all three West Chester Fire Department companies gathered at the West Chester Fire Department Training Center for a group training event. The event included a live burn drill, during which our members went through multiple evolutions performing various skills. At the end of the event, Probationary Firefighter Alex McCarthy was promoted to Third Class, which is defined as an interior fireman. Also, Third Class Firefighter Steve Boyajian was cleared as an operator on Engine 52-1, in turn making him a Second Class Fireman. A good time was had by all and the event lasted approximately four hours in total.
