Crews Handle First Due Auto Fire

On Monday, January 9, around 3PM, Station 52 was dispatched to an auto fire in the parking lot of the West Goshen Shopping Center in the 900 block of Paoli Pike. Chief 53 and FM52 (West Goshen Fire Marshal) arrived with an engine compartment on fire, with multiple vehicles as exposures. Engine 52-1 responded with a crew of 4, under the command of Lt. Rychlak, and placed the bumper line inservice on arrival. The fire was quickly knocked and all units were in quarters about 30 minutes later. Engine 52-2 and Tanker 52 also made the response, a total of 11 volunteers staffed apparatus.
