Assist to Goshen Fire Company

A home at 935 Westtown Road in Westtown was destroyed by fire Saturday evening. Goshen Fire Company and Good Will Fire Co. were alerted to the blaze about 5:30 p.m. and arrived to find the rear portion fully involved with fire extending throughout other sections of the home. Firefighters quickly requested assistance, bringing the balance of Good Will Fire Co. and Fame Fire Co. also a special request for tankers from Longwood, Paoli, East Whiteland, Kimberton and Concordville in Delaware County.
Water supply was an issue as firefighters used tank water and foam to fight the fire which was at the top of a long driveway off the road. County radio reported nobody was injured and the fire was under control by 8:30.The residents were on hand as firefighters fought the blaze.

Engine 52-1 (Capt. Barry), Engine 52-2 (Lt. Davis), Air 52 (FF Bieg), Tanker 52 (FF Smiley Sr.), and Squad 52 (FF Eadie) all made the response to this working house fire in the 54 local. Crews placed multiple lines in service and operated for about 4 hours.
