On Friday, May 9, Engine 52-1 and Tanker 52 responded to a brush fire in the area of Route 322 and Copeland School Road. The assignment was quickly placed available as no fire was found. While units were returning to quarters Station 39 (West Bradford), Station 46 (Minquas of Downingtown), and Station 45 (Alert of Downingtown) were alerted to Route 322 and Romig Road for the auto accident involving fire (reported with one trapped). Engine 52-1 requested to respond to the call and Chief 39 approved, the Engine arrived second and the crew, led by Captain Barry, stretched a second handline. The company was available about an hour later.

On Thursday, May 15, Firefighters D. McCorkle, A. Rychlak, and D. Smiley Jr. took a visit to the Paoli Hospital to visit one of the accident victims. She had missed her Sr. Prom due to the accident and the Good Will members presented her with a t-shirt signed by some of the active crew. The company would like to wish her a happy birthday and would also like to hope for a speedy recovery!
