Around 5:50PM on Wednesday, July 17, Station 52 and Brush 51 were dispatched to 962 West Penn Drive in West Goshen Township. Brush 51 responded with 2 firefighters followed by Engine 52-2 with 7. The brush crew pulled two 1 inch attack lines and began knocking the fire that was in a small area of bamboo behind the residence. The engine then arrived and the crew split, half of the crew began attacking the fire, while two firefighters stretched an 1 3/4 inch attack line to supply Brush 51. Captain Creager was Chauffeur on the engine and pumped water while the fire was quickly placed under control. All units were clear of the scene around 6:30. Photos courtesy of Tom Kelly IV.
