On 3/5 at approximately 1516 hours the Good Will Fire Co. along with Fame (53), and Good Fellowship Ambulance (55) were dispatched to a house fire on the 200 block of S. High Street. Initial reports were of smoke coming from the floor at the back of the house but no visible fire. Pd arrived onscene and confirmed smoke from the third floor rear wall/deck with possible fire in the wall and the best access being the rear fire escape. Engine and Ladder 53 arrived onscene and began pulling a line to the third floor and starting a primary search. Engine 52-1 (O'Hara) arrived just after and were told by command to grab hooks and a highrise pack and assist the 53 crews. Crews made it to the third floor porch on side C and found a light smoke condition pushing out of the wall where it connected to the deck. 52 and 53 crews pulled and cut the siding and deck up to reveal a small smoldering fire in the floor joists. Engine 53 advanced with the line and wet down the area to make sure that there were no hidden embers. Crews were all available at 1604 hours and let the fire marshals begin their investigation. Thanks to Tower 54 (Goshen) for standing by at St. 53.
