Busy Start of April for the Good Will

Between the dates of Monday, April 9 and Monday, April 23, the Good Will Fire Company responded to a total of 22 calls for service. This included 6 structure fires, 6 woods/brush fires, 3 trash/dumpster fires, 4 automatic fire alarms, 3 electrical fires, and 1 odor investigation. The week of the April 9 included a Tanker response to Concordville for the working house fire, an Engine and Air Truck response to French Creek State Park for the large woods fire, 3 trash/dumpster fires in our local, and 2 other house fires. During the week Good Will members also attended the memorial services, viewings, and funerals of two fallen brothers from Philadelphia Fire Department's Ladder Company 10, Lieutenant Robert Neary and Firefighter Dan Sweeney, whom gave their lives on the morning of Monday, April 9. During both weeks Good Will firefighters also continued their training, Engine Company Operations on April 16 and Hazardous Materials Operations on April 23. Also while the Good Will responded to calls the NEW Air 52 attended FDIC in Indianapolis and the committee with be attending final inspection in the near future. A job well done to all members who operated at the incidents. Rest in Peace Lt. Neary and Firefighter Sweeney.
