| On 8/20/09 at 1409 hours Fame and the First West Chester Fire Companies responded to 1144 Cotswold Lane for a report of a basement fire. Shortly after dispatch the assignment was upgraded to include station 52 and mutual aid from station 46 and an engine from station 6. Due to the large volume of fire found on arrival an exterior attack with multiple master streams initiated. Crews did an outstanding job despite the hot weather and extreme fire conditions. Unfortunately, the dwelling sustained heavy fire damage. Two firefighters were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. |
