At 1034 hours 01/28/2010 the First West Chester Fire Company was dispatched for 2 Engines to assist Longwood Fire Co. with a Hazardous Material incident along with 1 Engine from Station 52. Station 25 and Hazmat 15 units were dispatched earlier and were on scene of a leaking railroad car with placard 1074. Engine 52-2 responded with FF M Hards, FF D McCorkle, FF M Green , 1st Class FF (Hazmat Tech) P Widmayer. The crew was lead by Capt. J Stafford and chauffered by T Shaffer. The situation was investigated by a representative of the rail company and turned out to be a malfunctioning valve. It was determined the car only contained vapors and units cleared without incident at 1059 hours.
