A busy Friday for Good Will Volunteers

At Approximately 15:40 on Friday, November 23rd, the WCFD along with 55 Ambulance (GFAC), and 39 (West Bradford) where dispatched for the reported building fire in the 800 Block of Shenton Road. Engine 51-1( First West Chester), and Engine 52-2 (Capt. Dimeo) quickly went en route. Assistant 52 went on location reporting "light smoke showing from the roof." Engine 51-1 got on scene and pulled a 1 3/4" Hand Line to the front door and threw ground ladders to the roof, followed by Engine 52-2 who acted 2nd due engine and went interior to assist with fire attack and opening up the ceiling. Driver of Engine 52-2 assisted Ladder 53 and a crew from 51-1 on the roof with opening up. Fire was put under control and all units returned to station within the hour. While returning to station from getting Fuel Engine 52-2 along with stations 51, and 53 where dispatched to the 30 Block of W. Barnard Street for the investigation inside. Engine 52-2 arrived on location reporting nothing showing and shortly held it to Ladder 53, and Engine 52-2. While returning to station Engine 52-2, along with Ladder 53, was alerted to the 400 Block of W Deer Pointed Rd for the Fire Alarm. Units cleared the Fire Alarm and returned to station.
