At 0943 hours on Monday, March 12, the box alarm was dropped for a reported commercial fire at 20 South Church Street in the 51 local. Initial reports received included smoke from the roof, with an active fire alarm. Assistant 53 arrived with smoke showing on the alpha side, as WCPD officers reported a dryer on fire inside of the laundromat. Engine 51-2 placed a 1.75" line inservice upon arrival, and Engine 52-2 (Captain DiMeo) secured a water supply. The incident was quickly placed under control, and the fire was held to one dryer unit. Engine 52-1, Engine 52-2, and Air 52 all made the response.
