On Saturday, September 23, Engine 52-1 (FF Ruzat) attended the annual Unite for HER 5K in the borough from 9AM until 11AM. The crew was on location to cheer on all participants of the event, as well as the numerous members who participated. A great time was had by all at this fantastic event. Shortly after returning to quarters, Engine 52-1 made the response as the second due engine to a reported apartment building fire in the 51 local. Engine 51-2 quickly placed the incident under control and all units were available a short time later.
