On Sunday, September 10, Engine 52-1 (FF Green) traveled to Downtown West Chester to support runners participating in the annual 9/11 Memorial 5K. Three members of Station 52 (Assistant Chief Stafford, FF Cottrell, and Recording Secretary Stafford) participated in the event, while approximately twenty WCFD members cheered them on. The Engine was available on radio for approximately two hours before returning. Earlier in the day, Engine 52-1 (Lt. Davis), Air 52 (Capt. DiMeo), and Tanker 52 (FF T. Crum) made the response to a reported house fire in the 25 box area. Upon arrival, no fire was found and the assignment was returned.
