On Tuesday, September 12, Air 52 was alerted as part of the working fire dispatch to the unit block of Salisbury Lane in the 4 box area (Malvern). Air 52 (FF Smiley Jr.) responded almost immediately with a crew of three. Upon arrival, the crew was put to work opening up the basement and extinguishing all remaining fire. The Air unit chauffer handled filling cylinders while the crew was working. Members returned to quarters in about 90 minutes.
